What You Need to Get Started
To start using Kachaka (both the home model and Kachaka Pro), make sure you have the following ready:
What You Need
- The Kachaka robot: the main unit that handles movement, transport, and self-localization.
- Dedicated Kachaka furniture: Kachaka identifies and lifts furniture by reading a barcode on the underside of its dedicated furniture, so you must use the official furniture. Ordinary off-the-shelf furniture or shelves will not work.
- A subscription plan: Kachaka runs on a subscription basis. For plan details, pricing, and how to obtain one, please contact Sigma; the terms announced by Sigma Taiwan apply.
- Home Wi-Fi: Kachaka connects to your device over your home wireless network, and you issue transport and movement commands from the app on that device.
- A device that can run the Kachaka App: all initial setup, map creation, and registration of furniture and destinations are done in the app.
A Smartphone Is Not Required
Setting up Kachaka requires a device that can run the Kachaka App, but it does not have to be a smartphone — any compatible device the app supports (such as a tablet) can be used. For the recommended OS versions and compatibility of each platform, see Install the Kachaka App & System Requirements.
How to Obtain
