List of Registrable Furniture Names

When you register furniture (Registering Furniture and Adding Aliases), the name you give it decides whether you can call it by voice. Pick a name from the preset list below and you can use voice to tell Kachaka to carry or put it away. If you type a custom name with “free text” instead, that item can only be operated by tapping in the app, not by voice.

Why choose a name from the list

Kachaka’s voice recognition only knows the furniture names in its built-in vocabulary. Only when you pick a name from the preset list can Kachaka understand commands like “carry this furniture somewhere.” Free-text names are not in the vocabulary, so they will not be recognized when spoken.

You can also pick several names from the list as aliases for the same item, so different members of the household can call the same robot by whatever name they prefer. For example, one shelf can be called both “shelf” and “drinks cabinet.”

Preset furniture name list

The names below can be registered and used with voice control, grouped by scenario:

Carts and shelves (general)

By contents (named after what sits on the furniture)

Care and childcare scenarios

The available names may change slightly between app versions. Treat the list shown in “Add Furniture” inside the app as authoritative.

Limits of free-text names

For names not on the list, you can use “free text” to set any label you like, but once you use free text, the furniture name can no longer be recognized by voice. None of the following will work (the wake word stays in the original Japanese):

To keep voice control, choose a name from the preset list; to use a custom label, operate that item by tapping in the app or via a shortcut instead.
