Updating the Kachaka App
Keeping the Kachaka App on the latest version is the baseline for using your robot smoothly. Many new features, compatibility fixes, and connectivity troubleshooting steps require an up-to-date app first. Here are the steps for iOS and Android.
Make it a habit: whenever the app behaves oddly, a new feature is missing, or login/connection acts up, update the app to the latest version before digging deeper.
iPhone/iPad (iOS)
- Open the App Store.
- Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Scroll down to the list of pending updates, find “Kachaka,” and tap “Update” next to it. To update everything at once, tap “Update All.”
After the update finishes, reopen the Kachaka App to use the new version.
Android
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Tap “Manage apps & device.” If updates are available, “Updates available” will be shown.
- Find the Kachaka App and tap “Update,” or update everything at once.
Still having trouble after updating?
- Once the app is updated, also check whether the robot’s software needs updating — the two versions need to match to unlock full functionality. See Updating the Robot’s Software and Checking Your App and Robot Software Versions.
- If you haven’t installed the app yet, or want to confirm your device meets the system requirements, see Install the Kachaka App & System Requirements.
- If the Windows app fails to log in, updating to the latest version is usually the first step — see Windows App Login Fails.
App store update screens can change between versions, so the exact location of these options may differ. If you can’t find the matching option, follow the store’s current on-screen flow, or contact Sigma for help.
